Newton GWC

The Newton Free Library offered a Girls Who Code Club from 2014-2019. The Club is not currently active. Check out the National GWC website to find the club nearest you. Or check the Library's tween & teen calendar for upcoming events!

Over five years, our club helped hundreds of girls gain valuable skills in coding and technology. We were very proud to have been a part of the Girls Who Code network. We generated a large body of materials for students and club facilitators, which are all still freely available on this website. Check out our Archive of Past Years for links to all the resources:

You can also still email staff@newtongwc.org to reach our former facilitators, or email Newton Teen Librarian Megan Coffey at mcoffey.ntn@minlin.net if you have any questions. Happy Coding!

Girls Who Code is a national non-profit organization working to close the gender gap in technology. Our programs educate, equip, and inspire girls with the computing skills they’ll need to pursue 21st-century opportunities.
