Raktim Sinha

Liz Rowland, Club Sponsor. Liz is returning for her 3rd year as the Newton GWC club advisor. Liz is a Teen Librarian at the Newton Free Public Library, where she organizes a variety of programs for teens. Check out her Library Guides at newtonfreelibrary.net.

Maria Rodriguez, Volunteer Facilitator. Maria is a Software Engineer at Google, Inc. in Cambridge. She earned her undergraduate degree in Computer Science from MIT in 2011. She has volunteered with the Boston Women's Python meetup and has been a TA for mathematics for computer science and computation structures.

Casey McNamara, Volunteer Facilitator. Casey is a Software Engineer at Google, Inc. in Cambridge. She earned her undergraduate degree in Computer Science from MIT in 2013 and her Master's degree in Computer Science from MIT in 2014. Casey is returning for her 2nd year as a Newton GWC facilitator.

Raktim Sinha, Volunteer Facilitator. Raktim is a Bioinformatics Software Engineer at Novartis Institute of Biomedical Research in Cambridge. He has been developing software for about 10 years in this area working in both non-profit and for-profit organizations. Raktim lives in Newton with his wife and 4th grade daughter. This is Raktim's 1st year at Newton GWC.

David Miller, Volunteer Facilitator. David is returning for his 3rd year as an instructor at Newton GWC. He currently works as a Software Engineer at Google, Inc. in Cambridge. David has 22 years of experience building technology, teaching math and science, and working with children. He lives in Newton with his wife and three daughters.

Eleanor Boyd, Student Ambassador. Eleanor is currently a Junior at Wellesley High School and helps to coordinate 7 Girls Who Code clubs in the Boston Area. In years past, she has also been a student and teaching assistant before moving into this larger role. Eleanor loves computer science and enjoys the opportunity to help mentor other girls in her passion!
