Key Information For Students and Parents (2016-2017)

Eligibility: Open to all students, Grades 6-12, by enrollment only. Club registration for the year closed on September 22, but students can still attend our drop-in Teen Coding Meetups.

Club meetings: Our sections meet Tuesdays 6:30pm - 8:30pm and Fridays 4pm-6pm.

Meeting location: Newton Free Library, Computer Lab on 2nd Floor.

Attendance: All girls are expected to attend 80% of club meetings.

Cost: All instruction and software is provided free of charge.

Cancellations: Should we need to cancel a club meeting (due to bad weather, instructor illness, etc), we will post a notice here. In general, you should assume the club is operating any Monday or Friday that the Library is open.

Girls Who Code is a national, non-profit organization leading the movement to inspire, educate, and equip girls with the computing skills to pursue 21st century opportunities. Through our Summer Immersion Program and Girls Who Code Clubs, we aim to close the gender gap in technology.
